Dr. Wilson

A native Chicagoan, Dr. Barbara Wilson has lived in the Upper Valley for over 10 years.  She completed medical school at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and residency in general psychiatry at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center where she was Chief Resident in her fourth year of training.

After residency, Dr. Wilson was outpatient psychiatrist at Littleton Regional Healthcare before returning to DHMC as an inpatient psychiatrist and co-Director of the psychiatry clerkship for the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.  In her time at DHMC she received both the Teacher of the Year award from the psychiatry residency as well as Clinical Educator of the Year from the psychiatry clerkship.  

Dr. Wilson evaluates and treats a broad range of psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma-related disorders as well as thought disorders such as schizophrenia.  She has a particular interest in the diagnosis and medical management of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

Dr. Wilson practices psychiatry in Lyme, New Hampshire.
